Time has passed. A significant amount.
I'll be 35 in a few months. It's already been more than 1,800 weeks since I've been around, and (in the best-case scenario) I'd be around for another 1,800.
While I've spent a significant amount of time learning, growing, experiencing, and doing a lot of crazy things, I've also hit the "reset" button a few times along the way. And it worked—to a certain extent.
The time for another reboot is here.
New targets. New challenges. New beliefs.
This is probably the last reboot I can realistically do in this life where I still have significant control over my actions and can enjoy the benefits as I plan and intend.
I'm investing the next 8 years to get the ROI for the following 30 or so.
My target? Retirement from fear and worries of life (and "life itself").
This reboot isn't about a career change or a sudden move across the country (though those things could be part of it). It's about a deeper shift. A recalibration of priorities and a renewed focus on what truly matters. It's about building a life that feels less like a constant struggle and more like a deliberate, joyful journey.
What does that look like for me? It's still unfolding, but here are some key elements:
Financial Security: This isn't about becoming a millionaire (though that wouldn't hurt!). It's about building a solid foundation that allows me to live comfortably without the constant stress of financial worries. This means smart investing, conscious spending, and building multiple income streams.
Purposeful Living: What gets me excited? What impact do I want to have on the world? This reboot involves exploring these questions and aligning my actions with my values. It's about finding work that feels meaningful and contributing to something larger than myself.
Health and Wellbeing: This is foundational. Without physical and mental health, everything else crumbles. This reboot includes prioritizing exercise, healthy eating, mindfulness, and cultivating strong relationships.
Experiences over Things: I've realized that material possessions bring fleeting joy. Experiences, on the other hand, create lasting memories. This reboot is about investing in travel, learning new skills, and spending quality time with loved ones.
This isn't a sprint; it's a marathon. There will be challenges and setbacks. But I'm committed to this journey. I'm committed to building a life that feels authentic, fulfilling, and free from the fear and worries that have held me back for too long. This is my last reboot, and I'm going to make it count.
